Tri-Rivers Fair Announces New Fair Manager

Salina, KS – The Tri-Rivers Fair Board is pleased to announce the hiring of Janice Michels as the new Fair Manager for the Tri-Rivers Fair. This role marks an exciting step in strengthening year-round planning, improving event coordination, and enhancing the overall fair experience for the Saline County community.

As Fair Manager, Michels will oversee the daily operations of the fairgrounds, coordinate with 4-H and FFA partners, support exhibitors and volunteers, and lead efforts to further grow and modernize the annual Tri-Rivers Fair. The position also focuses on building community partnerships, expanding programming, and ensuring the fair remains a vibrant celebration of youth, learning, and local traditions.

“We’re excited to welcome Janice into this leadership role,” said Cain Fouard, Tri-Rivers Fair Board President. “Her experience, energy, and commitment to community will help us continue building a fair that engages families, supports youth, and celebrates our rural heritage.”

Michels brings to the role experience in administration, event planning and hands-on community involvement, and a passion for creating meaningful and memorable experiences for the community.

“I am honored to serve as the new Fair Manager,” Janice Michels said. “The Tri-Rivers Fair holds a special place in this community, and I look forward to working with the board, partners, and volunteers to make the fair even stronger in the years ahead.”

The Tri-Rivers Fair Board is currently planning for the 2026 Fair and looks forward to continuing to grow exhibits, expand partnerships, and bring renewed vibrancy to the fairgrounds.
